Thank You Jude for Reminding me That I am Not That Great

Dear Jude,

Thank you for keeping me humble. Just when I think that I am doing ok, my mothering skills are not so bad. my kids are well behaved and well adjusted, and usually make good responsible choices. Just when I am thinking that maybe I have it together you go and do this

You sneak scissors into your bed and you cut your hair while you should be sleeping.

so thank you for reminding me that I still have a lot of work to do.

also, thank you for having individuality, and the guts to do something your older siblings would never dare to do. nothing scares you, even the wrath of your mother, and I am hoping that will translate into a confident brave adult.

I wonder what was going through your head as you chopped away at your hair.

you also make me laugh
