I must say that I am loving Summer with older children....oh me oh my what a joyous time of year.
you wouldnt know it by looking at them but those little nuggets up there are loving it also.
We are getting ready for our big trip back East. The kids and I are flying out to good old Virginia for a week to visit my fam and all that good stuff.
Don Juan will be joining us the next week so we will have a total of two wonderful weeks out there.
I am quite excited to head on back to the South where I came from.
It is time to show these kids what real cooking tastes like.
We have been working on their manners so my grandmother doesnt have a hernia at the dinner table
On the topic of traveling any tips? I will be flying alone with three kids for 6 hours. I would just accidentally give them some benadryl and enjoy my flight in peace but we have learned the hard way that benadryl has the opposite effect on little mister Jude. It gets him wired

I am planning a trip next week and since I have a 2 1/2 year old I've been researching. I saw lots of good ideas but one that I am using is a present each hour to open. I don't mean a big present but just little Target dollar bin items. I think they will be my lifesavers. That and snacks. Good luck!
